What do I do with all these crystal things? I understand I need the onyx fragments to upgrade, but I have so many I don't know what to do with them.
Bwhahaha, that was my reaction at first too. Looking back, I sucked horribly. Speaking as someone who has played through the first jobs of every class (and archers twice, since I deleted my very first archer character due to being initially disappointed with 2nd job Acrobat, in which I may have been far too hasty then), I cannot imagine why the game thinks that archers are a good beginner class. The two female characters' first jobs suck horribly, especially if you're a beginner. At the very least, I wouldn't use a shortbow during the Archer's 1st job phase at all (not to mention that the archer 2nd job advancement test is almost impossible with a shortbow).
Once you get better at the game, you'll find yourself doing a lot of things that you may have thought to be impossible before. Come back to your archer later (and get a crossbow or something until you job advance, it's pretty much a shortbow with a slower firing rate/longer range), you'd be surprised at what you can do with your archer then.
DrRusty Wrote:How the hell does anyone do Abyss difficulty? I just finished doing a master level dungeon and it was hard as hell. I did end up getting a double S which I have no idea how. The difficulty going from Hard -> master is huge. I don't see how someone can do Abyss without seriously outleveling the dungeon.
Tackling Abyss dungeons solo pretty much requires your higher level skills first. I really wouldn't recommend soloing the Abyss dungeons around Carderock Pass until you have your Level 17-20 skills or even higher. After that though, it's possible to solo Abyss dungeons as you run into them, although no sane person would do that due to the Abyss mode drops sucking terribly compared to the Master mode drops (unless you get insanely lucky with boss drops/dimensional rabbits).
