Consider the facts that many people do not have the Hub in their cable and/or aren't living in America, and new episodes get uploaded onto Youtube fast. Plus you have to factor in the amount of people who streamed or download to watch the premiere (like we're doing).
Imagine FiM on a prime channel, like CN, Nick or Disney. I bet it would be the highest rated show, but it's not it's on Hub, a pay-to-view channel.
That and having aired 9AM on fridays when people are having classes, now that it is on saturdays I imagine more people will be watching it.
