I'm working toward getting into animation at either Seneca or Sheridan. I'm drawing at least 15hrs a week at a workshop I'm in so I can make a portfolio that blows the reviewers away, hopefully....
2) If you're a student in high school, you're paid less. iirc, it's somewhere around 9.50$ but you aren't taxed as much. Pay attention to what you're being paid because you're young and companies might try to rip you off when you're working more than what you're supposed to be working. iirc if you work over 22hrs, you're legally entitled to be paid the real min wage of 10.25$/hr.
3) McD is actually slightly above min wage, yay. I've been told they also have a special point system where someone from McD will come in during your rush hours. The higher you score on their test, the more money you'd get.
I worked at Tim Hortons for 2.5years and a friend/co-worker's mother is a manager of a store at McD. I was trying to work at Timmy's full-time while doing part-time at McD, but things didn't work out. I need to fix up my resume asap to see if I can get a job doing "web search evaluation" because it's a boring but easy job that pays okay. 20hrs a week at around 16$/hr and I can do it at home with flexible hours as long as I do 4hrs of work in a day, I'm good. ;o
