Get glasses:
Lag outside US is just one of the reasons. Another is that classes are not balanced there. Third is that the system itself doesn't work in MS, where there's no complicated combos, just spamming a single skill, which only makes it as race of who can do the most dmg. 4th is that there's hackers. 5th is that equips are in too big of a role in PvP-> nxkiddies and illegit tycoons with dupescrolled equips beat the crap out of other people.
Satellite Wrote:PvP cannot be made back alive (nevermind in Yellonde) until they fix the lag
They could fix everything else but the lag experienced from those outside the realm of service (and Australia), and PvP would be just fine.
The system was just fine. As a Paladin, I certainly didn't spend my time spamming one skill.
...actually, that was true of every class I played (Shad, DB, Evan, BaM, FP)
Because of this, I tended to end up on top in situations that didn't involve hackers.
With certain skills having cooldowns, it wasn't possible to spam the best-damaging skills.
Those who tried to win via spamming usually got rolled over by myself and anyone else with the forethought to diversify their attacks.
And, actually, equips hardly play any role in PvP. I'd regularly mop the floor with people far better equipped than myself.
For the record, my current damage range on my Paladin is under 15k, and I once beat this individual in PvP.
Yes, the classes need balancing. Yes, hackers need to be dealt with (and, as I recall, they mostly had been).
But these are problems that exist everywhere in Maple.
No need to toss aside a mode because of it.
The reason PvP is broken now is entirely due to the HP system.
It negates all the other aspects by virtue of the fact that skill variety means pomegranate when everyone dies in a hit or two anyway.
