I was trying to diagnose specific situations where this lag creeps up and thus far I've only isolated one: Mechs. Simply being on the screen makes things unbearable; put down some bot and I'll be frozen for some 5 seconds.
Other than that, I agree there is an increase in other, seemingly random lag spikes.
