Nexon America to Launch Dragon Nest on Sept. 28

I'm not usually one to call people out, but this is the most ignorant thing I've heard all day. A lot of people jump to conclusions when they hear a game will be dungeon based, myself included. Dragon Nest really breaks the mold IMO. More or less every review I've read since the release of Dragon Nest Global has been pure surprise and enjoyment. Dragon Nest takes the template of dungeon based games and pushes every aspect to near perfection.

The graphics are smooth and complete, while not "next gen" the motion blur effects mixed with very specific detail make for an incredibly flawless picture when playing. There are few games I can view as complete graphically, Maple and Dragon Nest being the only two I've played recently.

By no means am I a Dragon Nest fan boy, I actually haven't played it in over a month now (Internet isn't too capable atm). The gameplay is fluid and so very enjoyable that the little grind required for leveling is hardly a burden. Each skill mixes up the gameplay/combo system so much that there really seems to be a great number of play styles per class. In fact just typing this has made we want to go back quite a bit.

I've played enough dungeon based games to leave a pretty bad impression, the only one I'd enjoyed prior to DN was Phantasy Star Universe (as well as its predecessors, but thats a different story), which shut down on PC last year unfortunately. All others have left me feeling pretty empty content wise, something that Dragon Nest, even in beta has yet to do. The multitude of dungeons and quests, along with the different difficulty levels, leaves you feeling almost overwhelmed by how many choices you have all the way to 24, as well as a ways after. While I probably won't play the game long term, as I'm still pretty committed to Maple Story (a game that is riddled with flaws that make me hate myself for this), I know I would were I in need of a great game to play.
