You're making me derail this thread it just doesn't make sense to me. Do something else in medicine besides pathogens then. Journalism and fashion, god. Those majors are the people who end up giving you change at tolls or some other bullshit job. Omfg.
Life isn't about marriage, kids, blah blah blah. It's about doing what makes you happy. Obviously fashion makes him happy and more power to him for following his heart into something that really makes him happy.
I know a lot of people who are in fashion and journalism and have amazing jobs and aren't "toll booth operators"
