It lasts 40 seconds, not 60 post Jump! update. The inifinity boost is quite great, and normally makes us reachthe damage cap quite easier.
And inifnity has 3min cooldown. It will also give 50% stance effect, but I found it useless.
I mean, our stance have 3min cooldown, so wtp nexon?
However Glacial chain seems far more useful, since it freezes the monsters plus the great damage it does.
It be best to max out Glacial Chain before infinity, and once you have the other basics aswell(Chain lighting, Magic mastery, arcane aim), you can max out infinity.
