Hanasaku Iroha Ep 24 - Oh. My. God. That old lady is godlike, I swear (anyone who has watched the entire episode would know which scene I'm referring to).
As for the staff, I understand their reason for refusing to help out with the festival...but it was (apparently) already agreed on a long time ago that all the inns that are in the union have to send a representative to help out. Regardless of their reasons and commitments, they are obligated to do so.
