Not exactly a new concept. They've had babies in Ragnarok Online for ages. Babies have a shrunk sprite so they're tiny (and cute). They also have a lower level cap along with a stats cap so they're weaker. It's meant to cater to the perma beginner / str mage crowd who likes a challenge.

IMO they should at least make it so you can get crush rings for the same sex. Why can't you like/love someone of the same sex without being homosexual?
