Fascinating space

Make no mistake, I'm by no means underestimating what science can do. This is the kind of thought an average human would likely have. "OMG WE'RE COLLIDING WITH ANDROMEDA!!" would simply be very silly despite however dangerous it sounds intuitively.
The "capacity" I mentioned was a human's conceptualization ability, or, if you will, our lifespan. We would go on living our lives, die, rinse and repeat several thousand times over and this whole... hectic situation "out there" will just unfold itself like a boss all the while.
We won't have the slightest reason to care about it and it won't even know we're here. The two scales are almost in different worlds.

Oh, I see. From a simplistic perspective, you have a fair point. If we didn't know any better, we could probably just ignore the event completely. It's a good thing that we do know better, though. It would suck to be ignorant of such a massively epic event.
