I'm sure we would notice EVERYTHING IN OUR GALAXY BEING THROWN TOGETHER WITH ANOTHER GALAXY. Actually, I imagine the sky would be a lot brighter with so many stars compressed like that. ...Or we would just burn in a giant galactic incinerator.
