I'm not disagreeing that there are definitely black people who are supporting him blindly. But if you went to a state (not to stereotype, but a southern state? not sure exactly where there might be a concentration of black dislike) and did this with McCain spouting some of Obamas policies, you would easily be able to generate the same results.
One of the worst offenders of blind support from what I've seen if Oprah. Obama could probably hand it a piece of paper he wiped his arse with and she would probably declare it to be a work of genius.
just a for reference piece, but i live in one of those southern states. there can be some of that sentiment here, but not much, not in any real sense. obama made a point of campaigning here earlier on this year, and he was met with resounding support. that was until 2 weeks later when something he said came back on him. he told the people here, that "the Appalachian mountains were the saudi arabia of coal", and that he will make sure we are developing our clean coal technology to see prosperity return to our area. less than 2 weeks later, when approached in ohio, biden in an interview, was asked about what their stance was on clean coal. he said that they had no stance. they didnt want approach it, and saw it as more of a waste of time.
i'm a mccain supporter simply because i disagree with him less than obama, and that is only one reason that i dont like obama.
something to note, after biden's statement, 1, senator, one house rep, and the governor of VA (all dems) came down on obama for playing at the political game of preaching one thing in one state, and the opposite in the next.
