A Dutch news agency reported that AT&T would get 43% of the market share for telephones if they merged with T-Mobile. I have no idea about Verison's share, but with a share of almost 50% it would be a matter of time before it became an almost-monopoly market. I think it's a pretty good thing it didn't go on.
