My Blazing Flower Melee build. Add 30 more sp and that how much I have left.

I do agree melee Archmage does sound silly.

That is an awful lot of extra SP. You could probably do a lot with it. How's the electrocution? Nens actually get melee skills, at least, compared to the bumbling and slow xxx of AMs and the SA-less uppercut on a class without speed.

Melee Archmage is quite possibly the worst build anyone could ever make ever on any subclass. Worse than 5 mastery WM or similar troll builds(maybe).Especially since these people use staves, despite being melee. And people are actually using them.

What's worse is that the basis of these builds are :"another character from another game attacks like this" They are supposedly "tributes" to these characters, even though an elementalist does not have

!) good melee combo. Why do you think battlemages get a whole new xxx, and witches get flying melees?

2)Speed, whether in movement or in attack speed. Palm blast is a BM skill, and is not good for damage for arch mages, especially when using staves.

3) any type of melee attacks in their branch. Florae is not a melee skill, its sort of like void in that it is a trap.

They even had the whole : this character(Pikachu or Rachel) uses lightning, so I'm just going to pick up lightning strike just because. Not because the skill is cool, or it is good for damage especially one on one, but just because they have a similar move.

But this is just me ranting against people who are making builds that make absolutely no sense at all, and not just melee or something(i.e the people who made those builds)
