So, I just received a letter that I was accepted into Kennesaw State University in Georgia. I was totally speechless because I remembered the reason I applied there in the first place. My ex.
The day I applied there was around the time where him and I were on good terms. I thought it'd be a good idea to go ahead and try it since it couldn't hurt. Later on, he said we're better off as friends, and I went along with it since we'd still be talking on a friend level (so I thought). At this time, we haven't FULLY talked in weeks. When I say fully, I mean without it being cut off after a few text messages. I'm starting to think the friendship is breaking off.
Today, I check my messages and I had spaced out on the fact I applied there. I got in.
Now, my dilemma is that I don't know whether or not it's a good idea to transfer out. Right now, I'm filled with anxiety, and regret. I don't want to go because of him, and quite frankly, I don't want to be near him. I just want to forget about him and move on. I'm more over him that I was before but seeing that I'd be in his area, I'm not sure what I should do. It may be a better opportunity and yet it may not.
Pros of leaving:
1. New environment and new people.
2. Get to see the people I met during the summer.
3. Continue college.
4. SNOW! (hopefully)
5. Leave family. (they irritate me sometimes)
Cons of leaving:
1. I don't know what I'd do if I saw him again.
2. Student loans...
3. Adds another year or 2 onto my college career.
4. Leave friends and family (I'd miss things like my mom's birthday and Thanksgiving and such).
Right now, nothing anyone else tells me will sink in my head. Honestly, the fact that I'd have student loans (I've gone loan free so far) and I'd have a longer college career make me believe this isn't worth it. Not only that, but with him around, it wouldn't do me much good.
Comments, SP? :/
