Love me some Corki. Definitely my AD of choice. His only downside is a lack of crowd control.
Corki textwall/guide. Whether you wanted it or not
Some general rules of ranged AD carries:
Farm like a beast. Pretty useless without a few items. Solo lane or laning with a support is preferable but not necessary. Corki's passive gives him an easy time with early last hitting, so farm farm farm. I consider 100+ CS by 15 minutes a strong score.
Some lane matchups are very poor for Corki. That being said, Corki is a very strong laner. I regularly get pomegranate on by the current popular AP solo characters (Brand, Orianna, Annie) but can typically outlane other AD carries of similar skill level and most other characters. The caveat to this is that with missiles at level 6, I can at least hold my lane if I was losing it and continue to safely farm and harass. Be aware of your squishiness and the very long cooldown on Valkyrie. There are bad instances where I might be in a side lane and some tanky, gap-closing champs have the option of simply running up and killing me, even under tower.
Positioning is the key to team-fights. You probably hear "don't focus the tank" a lot, but you'll want to be behind your allies in most fights so if the tank is the only one you can hit, go ahead and hit them. Being alive and constantly shooting something is your goal. Dive-bombing and obliterating enemy squishies is the job of AP bursters and tanky-DPS. Expect those types of champions to be coming at you. Use Valkyrie to reposition and if you can keep very good track of your micro "stutter-step" and move between shots. If you can safely attack a high value, squishy target because they're in a bad position and vulnerable, kill them without regard. But it's better for you to be alive then to have someone on the other team dead.
A bit more Corki-specific
Skilling order is typically Missiles>Phosphorus Bomb>Gatling Gun>Valkyrie with one point in Valkyrie at level 1 or 2 for escaping and mobility. Missiles are a very skinny skill shot, so aim for minions that the enemy champ is hanging by to hit them with the AoE for easy harass.
If someone comes up in lane to try and pop off some harass, don't let it go unanswered. Spin around and give them a phosphorus bomb and some autoattacks. Unless it's like... Annie coming to level 6 rape you with Tibbers. Don't get close to stuff like that.
Masteries are to taste. 15% Magic Pen in offense is a must but everything else is your choice. I used to run 14/0/16 getting up to Sunder in offense and move speed in utility. Been trying to do 21/0/9 more often. Strength of Spirit in defense is also an excellent mastery.
Typical build:
Start Meki Pendant + pots (if getting Manamune), Sapphire Crystal + pots, Doran's Blade, or Boots + pots. Boots are particularly advisable if you know you'll be against a strong skillshot champ like Karthus, Brand, or Orianna.
Manamune is a common point of contention. Most times I get it, sometimes I don't. If I'm having a very strong start and can immediately buy a BF sword on my first recall, I'll often skip it.
Start item > (Manamune) > Trinity Force (Sheen/Phage > Phage/Sheen > Zeal) > Black Cleaver/Banshee's Veil > Banshee's Veil/Cleaver > Luxury item(s) (I.E., Bloodthirster, Phantom Dancer. Take your pick. Sell your Manamune if you like. I think I've only had games go that long once or twice)
Grab Merc Treads or Berserker Grieves. I probably end up with Mercs 80% of the time.
Recently I've been getting a kick out of doing a more typical build like you'd see on MF or Ashe and passing on Trinity for a fast I.E. or Bloodthirster followed by Phantom Dancer. Everyone loves Trinity on Corki though and it's always a strong choice.
Summoner Spells are your choice of Exhaust, Flash, Ghost, and Teleport. Maybe Ignite. I typically go Teleport and Flash, with Exhaust and Flash as my second choice. I'll start with Doran's more often when I take teleport since I get an easy back so not taking pots isn't too detrimental.
