The first time I took it, I got the big SAT book but someone stole it from one of my classes at school so I didn't get to study it and I got a 1600.
Self-study is nice, I hear the SAT classes are bomb and they really help you with the writing and critical reading aspect of the test. Second time around I only did slightly better, but for where I want to go I was fine with the first score I got.
