The overreaction, though, is the lawsuit. I mean, she got his character killed? Big deal, so he lost some EXP. They never said she deleted his character, but I keep wondering if perhaps that's what she actually did.

Even if she killed his character, when you log back in, you log back in alive with 50hp. So for him to have "discovered" his character dead probably means he discovered that his character was no longer there.
