Fine, but my statement of pointlessness very much applies if all defence you can muster is that it makes you feel good.

Same could be said about having 100% of your main stat or being completely statless when all it allows you to do is kill bosses faster. HP and MP have a use. The more HP you have the less you pot after being attacked, the more MP you have the more you can attack before you need to pot.

Do you need it in any instance of the game? No. x)

You need HP and MP more than you do stats.
