Everyone dies alot at Squids for thier first few levels, before they get used to it, Sniper or Ranger. Personally, I died quite a bit before I got the hang of it. I don't use Blizzard there at all, It's not some magical godsend that suddenly makes training 20* easier. You really sound like you want a Ranger, you probably shouldn't have sold him in the first place =/
Squids takes practice! You're going to have to move to higher level monsters sooner or later, Squids are great to work up to potting every hit, avoiding monsters, and using puppet.
