I played for the simplicity. It was easy to play, quick access to getting strong enough where you don't have to rely on a lot of people, and was a very flexible at it's time. Pq hoar, train hoar, money hoar, what have you.
Now the game barely runs on my desktop that can play crisis 2 with no lag, other players can kick me off the game as they please, and the proportion of funded players vs starting players is staggering. You have to keep with the rhythm or you get left in the dust.
