The Black Mage founded the town of Magatia in the hopes of using both kinds of Alchemy to achieve immortality, as far as i'm aware, it failed and he disappeared, but his experiments lie buried underneath Magatia in a secret room (which you can enter)

I think thats right at least, its been a while since i did those quests.

But i'm guessing that it must have been before he was sealed away, and the Heroes clearly believed they could stop him, so i doubt he actually achieved immortality.

I know he founded Magatia, but I was thinking the experiments were Yulete's.

Would make this a hell of a lot easier.

This actually brings me to another point.
What exactly is stopping us from killing the Black Mage right now? It took 5 heroes to defeat him before, as there were no other adventurers. Now we have the main force (Explorers) the back up (Cygnus Knights) the reinforcements (Resistance) AND the original Legends and descendants, Plus the fact that the Black Mage is still weak and mostly sealed (as far as i'm aware)

I've been wondering something similar to this as well. Mostly what made the Heroes so damn special.
I mean, we may only have three of the Heroes at the moment, but I'm pretty sure everyone else would make up for the final two.

Granted, I think a big obstacle right now is that we don't know exactly where the Black Mage is.
I mean, we're assuming he's behind Door #2, but if the Mercedes and Slayer videos were depictions of the past, then that's not very helpful.
