The difference between Dominion and other updates in the past that never were released is that Dominion is already playable, has a shorter time to be released, and, judging from the trailer, seems to be ready for release. I will agree though that they shouldn't have hyped it like they did; made it seem like something would actually be released this week.

It doesn't sound that great to me, because, i was expecting a new map to come out that was something like we already had. Not a map specifically for a new mode that, to me, sounds broken as hell. Granted i have yet to try this map out, but it just sounds like you can pick any type of champion that would be lane dominant or good at 1v1 and win.
Honestly the only reason im miffed is because i was hoping the hype was going to be riot confirming something they announced ages ago to be coming out, but they'd rather add something else to the list of 'coming soon'
