Guys, remember that death in Bleach is just a horribly convoluted way of travelling.
Dying in the human worlds either sends you to Soul Society or to the Hollows. Being eaten by another hollow means becoming a part of the menos grande. Szayel and the test tube guy were sent to hell when they were killed. And if you die in Soul Society you are reborn... if I remember correctly. Eh, it's all a terribly complex system.
Isshin probably wouldn't worry for too long if Ichigo died, his name would just be taken off of the school roster. With the sheer number of people who can see ghosts in Bleach, it'd be like Ichigo stole Harry's invisibility cloak or something. His life (death? non-life? Un-death?) would hardly change. Point is, even if Ichigo died, it wouldn't be too big of a deal.
