That sucks for the Wii U. Looks like the success it's predecessor had won't be shared with this new console. Nintendo must have gotten cocky, with the success of the DS and Wii, cause the 3DS sure isn't doing so hot and I honestly don't see the adoption rate for this thing being very high, especially in the PS3 is going to offer the same functionality, with much better features.
@ The whole achievement thing, they add replay value to video games, and offer new challenges that you might have not even thought about trying. But there are such thing as bad achievements, which a majority of games these days have. There's an interesting video that The Escapist did about achievements that's actually a fun watch. On top of that, I don't do it for an e-peen, I like getting my Xbox Achievements because I adding to that number I already have, and worked hard to get.
