Interactions between 2 consoles simply have never been supported by developers in any significant way.
It's not worked out for GC-GBA, n64-GB, PS3-PSP or wii- ds (granted that wii-ds not even nintendo bothered supporting outside of the mii channel )bar a few minor examples on each console. It's not going to work for the ps3-vita. If you don't get everything you need in the box, it's not going to be supported.

Say this after a year is out, because if watching the last 3 generations of consoles is any indication, most of the stuff anyone looks forward to on a consoles/is planed for the first year either isn't that good in retrospect or doesn't make it out in that first year.
