School Policies

In my high school district, they avoid firing teachers because the lists of protocols to do so would take YEARS to complete, especially when the teacher is tenured. I had a teacher in 8th grade who would only appear in class for 1 week of every month in the school year. That year i learned nothing besides the fact that i could have 1st lunch AND 2nd lunch and watch movies almost every day; hell i learned far more from the substitute than i ever did from her. She continued to teach there for the next 3 years. My brother got her as a teacher and she did the same thing: she literally never showed up to class for 3/4th of the school year. She has still not been fired 3 years later. Instead they moved her to a desk job down at the school district. Lesson here: impossible to fire failures of a teacher because of tenure; not worth the time an effort.

There are man many many loopholes. The only way you'd ever get fired is if you actually raped a student (we had a case where a teacher was accused of molestation, but never proven; he left of his own accord).Maybe it's just easier to file a complaint/allegation/accusation under a specific heading rather than the real one.
