I understand the concept of a deceptive cover over one's true emotions/intentions, though. The thing is, what is the necessity for them to engage in this? Is it for the school's name? For the individual's position? There are principals who are reported in the papers to have been charged for sexual predation, so is it necessary for the ordinary teacher to be covered up/cover themselves up like this? Or rather, why does this kind of deception occur in the first place?
Or is it the other way around, and are the newspaper reporting a false portrayal of the principals' crimes? I doubt this is likely. Newspaper reports often tend to give evidence, however slight, regarding the nature of the crime.
Logically then, unless newspapers are lying to us (as we have been told is not characteristic of a democratic press), the aforementioned principals are likely to have committed the same crimes they are to be punished for.
So then, why is it that some individuals engage in this bizarre activity, while others do not?
