Just got my copy of Catherine yesterday. Ran around my house in the boxers and platformed around my house and nearby surroundings. Shit was like parkour. Anyways, after having a bit of fun with the goodies that came with the game, it was time to actually play the game.
It's really enjoyable, I'm so far in the middle of the Clock Tower (Floor 6). Story is good as expected. Talking to bar customers plays out sort of like Social Links in Persona somewhat, only a lot less complex- you still do have to plan out how you talk to them because of different times of when people enter and leave the bar, but the dialogues are way simpler and shorter and obviously being able to cover everyone over the night as the key difference. And of course, the puzzle gameplay is amazing.
I've been playing on Normal mode so far. So far, pretty challenging, but doable. I'm curious why the original Japanese release was so hard, though. Maybe I'll look that up some time.
