aaaaaand... can you point me to a calculator or table (or tell me) that says how much damage i would do w/ level 1 / level 10 meteo? 28.5k is kind of a magic number for a minimum and i dont know how much magic i need to pull it out of my ass.
it is a bad idea in the sense that your damage will significantly suffer. if you do it and discover something, then the community will learn something they never knew. but if you do it and find out its a bad idea, ill just say "i told you so".
