@Kayle spotlight: Eww they really make that remake sound like a nerf pretty much all around. Not sure I care for the direction it's taken since they accidently released her "in progress" rework.
We don't need to use guides they are written by people like us. Lichbane is a great addition to her kit if you don't believe me go ask roku, who is in my opinion the best lux in the game currently.
Sometimes he streams games and you can see his beastly lux in action.
edit: Well I just looked him up and he has almost all orianna games on his list so you might not catch him streaming anytime soon with lux.

Lux is meant to be a glass cannon because of her range and zoning abilities. Her entire purpose throughout the game is to support your team as your the only one that can snare from long range. CDR + some AP is best. Getting Lich Bane requires you to have a survival item like Banshee's. Lich Bane forces you too auto attack late game. In team fights they will want to target you as much as they can. Your job late game entirely is to snare, slow, ult as many enemies as possible twice within a team fight. Your ult is meant to be used at the beginning of team fight and then at the end for clean up purposes.
