Like I said before, at least KMS tried to add a solution to this through the profession system. We can easily make items with 6% of your main stats or other stat and then sell them to make money and buy what we want. Sure it would still be far from what you could attain with NX and cubes but it sure helps in bringing the gap closer. All this event does is kill any current weapons, push the price of items with great potential even further, give those with NX and hackers major advantage over the ones without it.
