I used to not care about people either. Then I grew up and realized how much caring about other people really does for me (Hint: A lot).

I'm the opposite; I used to be nice to everybody, then I realized how superficial it all was and that it was more of a chore than anything. I don't get any "good feeling" out of helping another person. I actually prefer people to think I'm antisocial and never approach me in real life, because I'm a person that likes being alone. Which begs the question why am I posting on forums in the first place, which I do not have an answer for; semi-one way communication of this sort is better for me than actual conversation, though.

Would you want someone to save you, or would you prefer to be left watching the world bleed away?

I'd prefer they let me die, to be honest. I'm not suicidal (anymore), but I'm sure not ever going to be the type of person to go out of my way to survive something, either. According to the psychologist I was seeing up until a few months ago, apparently my heavily apathetic and neutral attitude is due to the fact that nothing I do can change the fact that I will die a lonely virgin (for reasons that have been stated once and will not be stated again).
