I don't suppose anyone can tell me why the Empress went all evil? Did the Black Magician point something evil at her? Did she flip her pomegranate and turn all of Cygnus against us?
I forgot all the details, but cygnus and her knights went to this tree to do something, and it was a trap set up by the black mage, which brainwashed them to be evil. And the only way to stop her is to defeat her i.e. no other way to bring her back to the side of good.
