Because then I'm forced to ask what does make Squenix "(not) a bad company at all).
Of course, this is getting rather far from the topic at hand.
Combattente Wrote:Nexon America's just the example which proves that it isn't, since they've never been a particularly good company at all, yet, as your same link states, they've been doing pretty good financially in the first quarter of the year. If I suppose they might be having financial issues now it's just because they're doing WORSE than usual.I'm saying that exploits in the game have no substantial negative impact on their bottom line.
You have yet to provide evidence to the contrary.

I mean sure, they could have a few people in those positions, with the exception of the Software Development and Technology Director (I'm pretty sure that's a one man job), but I highly doubt that they're not in trouble if they're looking for System Engineers, Software Engineers, Security Engineers, and Database Admins. The fact they're looking in the first place for some pretty high profile jobs just means they're understaffed.Oh. Looks like someone did, in fact, not read pomegranate.
I was going to go opening-by-opening and point out exactly why this is nonsense, but it's not really worth the effort.
Bottom line is that your personal, unexperienced feelings do not dictate fact. Several of the positions you listed are indeed multi-man jobs. Seeing as the company is ever expanding, it's not crazy that they would need more employees to keep up with the growth.
Of course, the biggest assumption you're making, the one that totally invalidates your position, is that none of the jobs listed are attached to a game.
Do you think the staff responsible for Maplestory's upkeep is the same as the one for Dungeon Fighter or any of their other games?
Should we forget that Nexon is continually releasing new games and, in fact, has a huge one (Dragon's Nest) going into beta in just a couple weeks?
It is not odd for a company that makes millions of dollars a year to have big positions open.
It's also not odd for a gaming company to have people leave because of the stressful environment (seeing as I personally know someone who recently quit his job at Blizzard).
Speaking of Blizzard...
OH pomegranateAKE! BLIZZARD IS GOING UNDER! THEY DON'T HAVE A DIRECTOR OF FINANCIAL PLANNING!

7.25 to patrol a game is a pretty great deal.
