7/14/2011 : Kaede, JMS Defeats Empress Cygnus! [Now with video proof!!]

You fail to see the relevance. So I guess everyone who plays MH NEVER ONCE touches MS? Or contributes to MS in any way? You say as if people who play one game can never touch another game. Things learned from a game like MH can easily assist you in making strategies for this game. They have what...thirty players there? You want me to believe that there's absolutely no strategy in there at all? People are just mashing buttons and hoping things happen? That's how most GMS players play, they've said it themselves. Hell, that's how I play MS most of the time. I'm not saying that I myself would ever have the ability to do the Empress, but that's not the point.

If you get thirty players who know exactly what they are doing, and they formulate a plan to exactly time attacks, exactly time skill uses, to exactly time when to do certain things, you can absolutely do better than a group where everyone is just doing their own thing, with no coordination what so ever. That's exactly what they do here. They always do it. They've shown the ability to do it in MH, they can easily do it in MS, where there's significantly less variables to care about.

It's not my fault that GMS has a bugged Empress. Hell, for all we know maybe GMS could have beaten JMS in timing, but you also forget...JMS JUST got Empress. It was two days ago. I highly doubt even if Empress wasn't bugged in GMS, they would have done it in a week, let alone one day after it was released.

MHFO was simply an example of how the Japanese players can create teamwork beyond what you'd possibly expect or even think was possible. I would never believe half the runs I've seen and participated in myself unless I was there to see them. How is MS any different? If you have the people, and they can work together in the amount that the Japanese players have shown they can, they can do these kinds of things. It makes no difference on what game it is, because it's still teamwork. You guys thought Empress was basically impossible, I thought it was impossible to kill a Black Fatalis in 60 seconds. But both are quite possible, and both have been proven by Japanese players.

And sure, I will agree there IS a possibility that they are hackers, but it's so slim it's not even funny. I've never seen a native Japanese player hack. I've never seen any kind of record of it. We see videos and screenshots of Americans, Chinese, and Koreans hacking all the damn time, but I've never seen a Japanese player hack. Ever. And even if you can show me a video or a screenshot of a Japanese player hacking, with absolute certainty that it is a Japanese player, I could show you a hundred more of American/Chinese/Korean hackers for every Japanese hacker you find. Hell, people were flaunting their 15+ star gear when that stuff was going on, the GMS markets are FLOODED with duped items and gear, it's not even funny anymore. The likelyhood that these guys are hackers is just so slim, it's barely possible. So I will say that it is possible, but the chances are so unlikely that it'd mind as well not be possible at all.

Now I am done with this. I'm sick of posting the crap over and over. People will believe whatever they want to believe. If you want to believe they are hackers so that you can say your version is first at killing Empress, do whatever you want. Not like we can stop you, and it's not like it didn't happen for PB (I'm told GMS says they did it first all the time, but it was JMS).

Well i am with you Japanese players are just awesome (MH fan here, high five), but your point actually is very stupid to compare MH with MS, Monster hunter is a game where if you are really bad controlling your character and you don't have strategy and you don't improve that aspects of you then you are just lost and trapped on that mission, untill you get better at strategy and learn more about the game.

In the other hand Maple Story is just a game where equips and hackers are everything, there is from little to none strategy in this game, if you can't kill a Boss you just grind more, get better equips and try again because the game was always meant to be this way lets take a iconic example from both game first monster hunter:

Rathalos: let's imagine that a new player is trying to kill it and he just died because of the rathalos air rush, this player just farm all the items he had in the previous run and now he knows about the rush attack he just try to pay more atention to the warnings and then after various attemps he finally kills it creating a strategy based on his items and the behavor of the rathalos.

Maple Story:

Zakum: A lvl 150 Hero wants to kill zakum, he tries to solo first but he noticed that he can't because he have low DPS to kill it in time, He can't change the way he is playing because skills always do the same, Intrepid slash always attack three times, every skill do the same damage on every zakum body parts (except for element weakness), Zakum is always the same: he can't evade 1/1 attacks, It always attacks, you can't manually evade its attacks, but you have a good option to kill it, GRIND and get better equips. Thats what you can change because is the only thing that the game always let you do, it is the core of this game Grind and improve equips, is true that you can try it with a party but who cares it is the same you just get more DPS mules, because if you get hit, you can use potions (limited only by your inventory space and money) and you still press the same button everytime untill the run is over.

Why is Empress Cygnus Hard:
1)It has strong minions Job instructors, you don't need to be a genius to know that if they do a lot of damage together the best option is to split them up and you are done.
2) A System that heals EC every time its near to die untill she summons every minion.
3) Potion Cooldown, C'mon this is for what bishop exists and a good amount of classes just need some bufss to survive (arans, Drks and DB for Paladins for example)
4) Because it dispells potential bonuses, okay i have to admit that this is just very funny because the game never nullified your equips before until Von leon but this is part of how they can make this game harder.
5) You can't grind/ improve your skills more after lvl 180-200, because at those lvls you almost have all your primary skills maxed.
6)Damage reflect, seduce, etc are just old enemies from the past so just don't botter arguing about them.
7) Lag/DC hackers and Nexon's mess up are things that you can't control this is the only true difficulty, that i think it is beyond the player because you can't know if a boss is working right, if you never played another version with this same boss doing its job fine.

The problem with this game is that they just change radically the direction of growing in this game, people still looks for DPS characters, if Joetang for example comes here and says that bishops outdamage everyone in the game and then show a video of a bishop with exagerated amount of % equips that solos papulatus on 7 Secs then everyone and their mother who cares about DPS will make one no matter what, people still think that corsairs are top DPSer but in fact we are not, we lack stable damage because we don't have power stance and we lack party buffs, But mechanics in the other hand have a 100% stance and good party buffs, this happens because people seems to be handicapped from thinking, not because they can't read or see, it is because they never analyze the situation they always do the same thing DPS/heal/ say nexon is fail, they just follow the "Results" of a small group that says that it is the way how the gameworks and people is very lazy to question it.
