Boundary errors are usually the easiest to catch in proper testing and are the most obvious to players when found, and make the devs look incompetent (Not to say the MS devs are to begin with). They are generally not hard at all to fix once you know they are there, so it just means that they don't have enough staff to do proper test cases prior to release. As always the case with QA; throw more people at it and see if it explodes.
On that note, there's been one in one of the Haunted Forest map since it's release.
