I was exploring to map all herb/ore locations (expect results this week), when I encountered this:

 How to do

In fact, this works with every wall. Please note the jump, walking does not work.

When you walk against the wall from the other side:

You fall off the map and re-enter the map at the top. You can jump over this gap and get inside the tower again.
