But I guess you just really don't know what's out there on the ground. The ground is unbelievably gross, even in your own home, even in a hospital believe it or not. Why do you think all foodstuffs in all restaurants MUST store their food atleast x many inches above the ground? (US anyway)
It's because the ground is a disgusting cesspool of nasty grimey crap. Even if you wash the floors every day like we did in the two jobs I had in food service, regulations demand you store food off the ground.
I can definitely assure you that your feet are touching and exposed to much much worse than sterile urine, especially if your preferred walking method is barefoot.
