But that's the thing, Juices are typically more filling to the stomach. One or two 8 oz. glasses and you're full -- and you get some nutrition with it. Sodas on the other hand are something that people tend to chug down can after can without thinking.

At home, the problem isn't non-organic veggies or even instant ramen, it's chips and cookies and pretty much anything that is composed of starch, fat, and salt and/or sugar. Cut that junk out and even if you're too poor for "health food" you'll see a big improvement.
"Healthy food" necessarily isn't healthier food, either. It's sort of a mess how that stuff is advertised to hell and back.
