"Mini-refrigerator" laptop cooler
#5
Even a basic 20-30$ cooler will help out a good amount. Check Newegg for some decent deals and good service. You want an active one (has at least 2 fans) so that it will actually move cooler air towards the intake. You want multiple fans because components near the outside of the case still can get fairly hot and having cool air move over the entirety of the laptop is important. It's a good idea to be wary of how you set the laptop when you're using. Don't lay it on the bed, or couch, or thick carpet, and don't block the intake vents with your legs. Things like this will maybe minimize the problem a bit. If your laptop is getting hot enough to shut down, then doing this could also help with speed as well, as some systems will stutter when they're running at peak temperatures.
