I don't think there can ever possibly be an un-flawed justice system that relies on any sort of jury because the conflict of human nature will always be a flaw. :l
Having a clump of people watch two entitled pimentos play "can you top this" to decide the fate of such a crime like this is really ridiculous to begin with, regardless of how "fair" it seems on paper.
