It seemed faster only because I switched from grays to poopas on my 8th orb, not because of drop rate changes. They are much easier to kill now that their movement is limited to 1 platform. Also the bottom has a lot of spawn so it helps to have a second character on the bottom of the map. My 9th drop came from a gen and my 10th one from a bahamut kill.
