I've played Fable and it is awful and I've heard Infinite Undiscovery is pretty bad too.
"Arcade"? Most games that are available on XBL are also available on the PSN. Plus the PSN has lots of amazing exclusives. I think saying the XBL arcade is better and anyone who says differently is "in denial" is pretty ignorant and possibly deluded. I don't know much about the online experience but I do know that I don't really care about multiplayer in the first place so it really isn't a selling point for me.
Also Kinect is the dumbest fucking pomegranate ever so leave that out of here, please.
Also also isn't Banjo 3 (the only exclusive one) completely different from the other two? I mean, from what I've seen it's basically a glorified "Tycoon" game, now. Am I wrong?
What is N3? and Kameo?
I'm not buying party games.
Your entire last paragraph is a joke.
It's not about having to get off my "fat ass", it's about it being a constant annoyance. Most games that have multiple discs make you go back and forth between discs for certain parts. We live in 2011, this shouldn't even be an option. What's worse is that you made it sound like having to change discs EVERY THREE HOURS is somehow a joy or, you know, not a complete turn off. Which it is. It doesn't matter who you are, who the pineapple wants to change a disc every 3 hours? Seriously.
Not wanting to pay for an XBOX live account is a matter of principle--I could easily afford it. But, I can get the same service on the PS3 for free, there's no damn reason for Microsoft to be charging and obscene amount like $50 a year ($35 apparently if you SCOUR THE INTERNET FOR A DEAL.) Especially if they're not giving you anything good for buying it besides the ability to compare your stats with friends. You should either be paying for the account and unlimited access to free games or have a free account with pay-to-play access to games. That's all there is to it. You know how much of that money game developers see? None. They give away the service to their customers for free and Microsoft puts up a toll booth before you can access it. That's pretty fucking scummy. It's like, I don't know, your favourite author/musician giving away autographs for free and then the book/CD store charging you an entry fee.
I think that that final sentence is the worst, though. A person should pay for a service and rent games to use with that service? Do you not see how ridiculous the very idea of that is? We should sacrifice something permanent for something temporary? I mean, it's not like that $50/35 is going to last you forever--it's gone in a year. At least when you buy a "shitty" game you can still play it in a year, or ten years.
Paying out the ass for a temporary service that should be free and sacrificing other things for it? Sounds like a great deal.
