I don't have much of a handle of what it's like fighting against Corki, but all the Corki players I do know of tend to dominate mid and carry the game.
Corki and Irelia both deal(t) all three types of damage. I was thinking of them wanting to change that to make the champ more counterable.
One of my favorite aspects of Corki is that even if I'm losing my lane very early, everything gets better as soon as I hit level 6. Dat mid-game.
