Also, I guarantee people didn't crash because of a hot time bug. Nexon wanted to save themselves a headache so they shut down the whole game to prevent anyone from getting hot time prizes. So many people would whine about how unfair it is that some people got TWO hot time chances, especially with those medals out there. Then they would've had to figure out some compensation for everyone (or everyone not logged in which would just piss off those who were logged in)
It was just easier to unplug it and stop anyone from getting a prize.
That makes complete sense, had it been done like 15 mins ahead of time. But at the very last minute, literally, just seems a bit odd. Like, if their purpose was to avoid unfairness for some players getting hot time twice, why not shut it down at 2:15 instead of right at 2:29, where something might have happened and bam, 2 hot times for some people.
