Also, I guarantee people didn't crash because of a hot time bug. Nexon wanted to save themselves a headache so they shut down the whole game to prevent anyone from getting hot time prizes. So many people would whine about how unfair it is that some people got TWO hot time chances, especially with those medals out there. Then they would've had to figure out some compensation for everyone (or everyone not logged in which would just piss off those who were logged in)
It was just easier to unplug it and stop anyone from getting a prize.
