I pretty much agree with this. In the past cancer wasn't a big thing because most people already died of epedemics, wars, diseasters and other stuff before reaching an age where cancer is common nowadays. Researchers at some point looked at about ten-thousand mummies, and only a few were found to have cancer. Most of those mummies died at age 50 and below, which most people did back then.
I don't have an English version of the article - but I do have a Dutch link. (You can probably find an English article by Googling for 'cancer' and 'mummy'.)
