Back up your MapleStory directory before applying the patch. That way, if they change the patch file, you can restore your v0.98 maple and apply the new patch to that.
That's probably pointless. If they change the patch file it means they've changed the full installation too.
well yeah, but any patch they release is going to be an update based on the v99 client, so they'll have a patch FOR the v99 client.
Hence why I downloaded the installer. :V
